How the guide is funded

See Vatican affiliate disclosure

Some booking links may earn See Vatican a commission. Here is what that means for the comparisons and your booking.

Updated

Links to Viator

When you follow an affiliate link to Viator and make a qualifying booking, See Vatican may receive a commission. The link contains an identifier that lets the booking platform attribute the referral.

The final price, available options and booking conditions are displayed by Viator. Check the total for your dates, party and currency before paying.

How tours are selected

Every listed product must meet our minimum displayed rating of 4.5/5 and at least 20 traveller reviews. We then check whether the specific option fits the collection’s route or format.

There is no fixed limit of two or three tours per collection. A matching tour can appear in more than one collection. Duplicate appearances do not create extra reviews or a new rating.

The default order balances average rating and review volume. Starting picks explain practical reasons to consider an option. Read the full selection and ranking method.

Official and other sources

We also link to official visitor information and ticket channels so you can compare guided and independent visits. Source links identify the basis for a statement; they are separate from an invitation to book.

See Vatican is an independent editorial guide. It is not an official Vatican service and does not operate the tours listed here.

Your booking is handled on the external provider’s website. We do not collect payment or passport details through this guide. See our privacy information and the provider’s own policies.
